XMas Dinner & Dance 2018

The 2018 SKA Christmas party was a big success in the grand environs of the Clay Oven banqueting hall. Around 260 members and guests attended and danced to the fantastic music of the inimitable Chico. A festive environment was created by SKA members with Christmas tree and a wonderful Christmas crib.

The afternoon started with entertainment for the children. Christmas carols were sung by the children. A very healthy looking Santa then made his appearance surrounded by his little helpers and distributed presents and sweets.

There was plenty of dancing from ballroom to baila, Bhangra to Bollywood. Thrilling adult dance games and spot prizes. Everyone participated with great enthusiasm. Our MC Sujith Rodrigues entertained us throughout.

The clay oven did not disappoint with delicious starters which flowed endlessly and this was followed by abundant and delicious dinner. There was exciting raffle draw with wonderful prizes. Special home made Kuswar was packed in individual boxes and sold like hot cakes.

Well done to the committee, especially the President Sunil D’Cunha who was seen working tirelessly to make this event a great success. Well done SKA, it is not easy to improve on year after year but indeed, the hard work of the committee is ensuring that the high standard is maintained. It was a great event to begin Advent season.
