Donald and Celine D’Souza celebrated 60 years of marriage on 3rd August 2015.
They were born within a mile of each other in Bolar, Mangalore. On leaving St Aloysius College, Donald went to Kenya to work for the British Civil Service. He returned to India on holiday where he saw Celine singing in a concert. He was so impressed he asked her to marry him!
The wedding took place in Rosario Cathedral in Bolar, followed by a reception at Catholic Club in Hampankatta. They were married by Rt. Rev. Mgr. J.L.A. D’Souza.
They lived in Nairobi where Celine worked as a maths teacher and they became parents to Rosemarie and John.
They moved to London in 1968, where Donald worked in Scotland Yard for over 20 years and Celine started a new career in the Civil Service. They retired in 1993. In addition to many good wishes from family and friends all over the world, a special message of congratulations arrived from Buckingham Palace.
(SKA LONDON, PRESIDENT, COMMITTEE AND ALL MEMBERS WISH CELINE AND DONALD A VERY HAPPY 60TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND MANY MORE)
