Sub- Registrar OfficeThe allegations were made against Sub-registrar - Janaki, stating that she tortured them with heavy work. All the employees went to the Sub registrar’s office and are said to have shouted slogans as to stop the alleged torture, following which the public entered and started protesting against her as well.

Janaki controlled the situation by saying that she will have a detailed meeting with the employees and sort the issue out by evening.

Sukesh while speaking to the media said that, out of the 5 contract workers, Poornima and Shakundala were thrown out of their job after which the work pressure increased tremendously. Around 60 entries was the target for an employee, however Janaki forced them to go for 90 entries per day, which is highly impossible, he stated.

Further Sukesh made a demand as to reinstate Poornima and Shakundala as the contract was for 5 years. “If this demand was not met, everyone will leave the job and a complaint will be forwarded to the DC”, he said.

On the other hand, Sub registrar Janaki clarified that "I don’t have the right to send anyone home. Poornima and Shakundala are still associated with us. However, they are given other responsibilities related to the district registrar’s office”. She also said that as a part of reducing the workload, Inspector General of Sub registrar Bangalore has taken a decision to reduce the employees from 5 to 3. “Plus, I have got instructions from my superior officers to fix a target of 90 entries per day”, she added.
