SKA London’s Beach Picnic: A Day of Fun and Togetherness

On Sunday, 18th August 2024, SKA London hosted a memorable picnic at Wittering Beach, bringing together 160 members for a day filled with fun and excitement. The adventure began at Kingsbury, where two coaches set off, fueled by a delicious Mangalorean breakfast prepared by members. The journey was lively, with raffle tickets and housie housie tickets sold on board, sparking excitement for the day ahead.

Upon reaching Wittering Beach, the raffle winners were announced, kicking off a series of games organised. Teams competed in various activities, creating a joyful atmosphere. Lunch, lovingly prepared by SKA members, was served at 1:30 PM, after which everyone headed to the beach to relax and enjoy the sun.

The highlight of the afternoon was a tug of war between the boys and girls teams, with the girls winning the first round and the boys taking the second, cheered on by fellow beach visitors. As the day wound down, everyone gathered for a final round of housie housie, followed by a lively Baila dance to wrap up the day.  The picnic was a huge success, leaving everyone with wonderful memories of a perfect summer day.
